When speaking on a mobile telephone

Even with a small hearing loss and the best hearing aid, it can be difficult to hear what is said on the telephone; the volume and sound quality of a normal telephone are not always sufficient. Phonic Ear offers solutions for mobile phones to meet most needs.

Many hearing aids have a telecoil (T and M/T setting) that allows sound to be received wirelessly from a teleloop, neckloop or a teleloop system. The user can choose the volume and hear the sound directly in the hearing aid without disturbing background noise.
